jakiyah cabell aka elle s. dee is a creative director turned vinyl DJ. she regards the art of listening to music as a form of time travel and dance as a sacred cathartic healing practice and curates her sets with intention to leave you feeling excited, inspired, and uplifted. her sets range from afro beats, funk, disco, soul, jazz, and pop from the 1960s to our current timeline. so come dance the night away with us as we heal, restore past timelines, and create new neural pathways and memories to our favorite music!

she spins all vinyl sets monthly at various bars in L.A. such as gold line, good housekeeping, la sabina wine bar, the artform studio, tabula rasa wine bar, blipsy arcade bar, townhouse, the friend, and more! additionally, elle s. dee is a west coast member of the NYC-based collective “Black Girls Love Vinyl” founded by alexandra sade. most recently, she was a sound selector for the BGLV “in compilation of…” immersive listening experience hosted by emmy award-winning actress janelle james.
